The Bottom Line:
Don't walk, RUN! Product worked, but rather poorly. Fixes made it worse.
I tried to install this on Windows 2000. Product said this was supported, but I had nothing but trouble and ended up returning it. Installation from CD went okay, except that it wasn't clear at first which CD to use, and that of course the drivers on CD are out of date! Video quality was good and dual monitor support was great. But 1) TV tuner video quality was terrible on channels 67 and up (I verified it wasn't the cable signal), 2) their DVD player program locked up, 3) the catalyst system tray program was constantly accessing the network and always slowed down my system response. I called ATI, and the first thing they blamed it on was conflict with the onboard graphics adaptor, but if that were the case the thing wouldn't work at all (later learned m/b specs and it's NOT the problem) and some of my problems were software related. Second thing they blamed it on was that the drivers were out of date; well, why didn't the installation CD check for newer drivers and install them?!? I had downloaded the newer drivers myself and installed over the old, but it wasn't clear what order to install the packages. And it didn't fix my problems. ATI Support later told me I had to uninstall everything and install clean, which was a real pain but I tried it. Reinstall went fine until installing the multimedia center package. During installation it locked up my computer, and locked up again during reboot. After a week of trying to get the TV tuner and DVD player software to work, I finally threw up my hands, repackaged everything nicely in the box, and brought it back to the retailer for a refund.
