CASIO's Latest EX-V770 is even better than the S600!

bymarkharris Feb 2, 2007
15 Helpfuls 16 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Large BRIGHT LCD, Fast Zoom & Focus. THIN! TOP-NOTCH Image Quality.
Cons Requires USB Docking cradle to pull images off the camera
Recommended it? Yes

It has been about a year and a half since the previous model, the EX-S600 made it to the USA. Sleek and refined. The EX-S600 has been an amazing piece of engineering when extreme slim shirtpocket formfactor and top-quality image capture has been important. (The S600 was the follow-on to the S500,... Casio Exilim Z70

13 Helpfuls 14 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Big LCD, attractive metal case, light weight, and long battery life
Cons No protection for the LCD screen
Recommended it? Yes

This camera does it's job. I purchased it specifically to take to a NASCAR race to point, shoot, and shove in my pocket. Little did I know I would prefer this tiny little thing to my big Fuji FinePix3800.

For one thing, it looks so neat. I got the red one, and it's so small that once I... Read full review »

Exactly what I was looking for.

Pros 7.2mp, zoom, easy operation, fast shutter, anti-shake, sd memory, rechargeable, great...
Cons No case or LCD protection, no viewfinder, removing battery to charge.
Recommended it? Yes

I'm one of those picky 35mm SLR only photographers. I'm a fine arts painter and use photography a lot. My 14 year old daughter wanted a digital camera for her birthday. As she is artistic and ready to take on the responsibility of a finer camera I was willing to spend a bit extra to get what I was... Read full review »

NOT happy with this camera

byhappycamper200 May 15, 2007
10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Photos were of good quality.
Cons Battery and battery charge needed repair too soon!!
Recommended it? No

The reason this camera was unsatisfactory for me is because it was too small and hard to hold on to; the on/off button is in a poor location and when placing the camera in the holder, it is too easy to accidentally press the on/off button; the memory card didn't work correctly because even if you... FRAGILE! not worth it

bysqueekweeks Jan 9, 2007
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Nice pictures, small and portable, great battery life.
Cons This camera has broken two times with no help of my own. Very poorly made.
Recommended it? No

After reading reviews online, I see I am far from the only one with the same exact problems. My LCD screen died while the camera was under warranty, but now a year has passed and the lens assembly has gone bad. The camera was never dropped, and it was always kept in a protective case. There is no... Read full review »

Casio EX-S770 camera is very frail

bywingnuttzz Apr 28, 2007
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Nice pictures, at $20 per picture after counting the repair costs
Cons Said it all...
Recommended it? No

Casio repair center in NJ is an extortion operation! Another Chinese crappy camera that is frail and if in need of repair they charge huge and sales tax. Why sales tax? I don't think sales tax is a appropriate for a repair job... Paid $275 for a camera, 2 months later had to pay $135 to get it... Read full review »

One of 3 Casio cameras I've owned

Pros Pocketable, large screen, fast startup.
Cons Grainy pics, slow transfer speeds, lack of manual controls.

Last year when I was going on an extended road trip, I had purchased the lesser Casio Exilim EX-Z40 and fell in love with it. Earlier this year, based on my experience with the Z40, I then purchased the Casio EX-P600 off of eBay and gave away the Z40. This was a mistake, for the P600 is larger than... Read full review »

Pros 5 Mega Pixels!, screen, size, infinite camera settings, battery.
Cons None.
Recommended it? Yes

The Casio Exilim EX-Z50 is a great compact camera. It has everything I was looking for in a digital camera. It takes great pictures. Even at a lower setting, the pictures still come out extremely clear. The zoom is great and there are many settings to help you get the best picture possible. You can... Read full review »

2 Months out of Warranty, and Now the Problems Start!

byaimeeb1224 Jan 3, 2008
12 Helpfuls 13 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros easy to use, good picture quality
Cons expensive lens error problem has led me to purchase a new camera
Recommended it? No

I am writing this review on a camera that is now well over three years old (I have owned mine for 2 years and 2 months now). However, I feel the review is still warranted, as these cameras have a way of popping up on Ebay or discount stores. Before you purchase a new or used Casio Exilim EX-Z50... Read full review »
