The Logitech MX 700 is a Gamers Delight!
Pros
Fast, rechargeable and Logitech performance!
Cons
None!
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is the best Mouse I have ever used!
An optical mouse running at 400 dpi of resolution has its fits when you are a serious gamer. The MX 700 gives you 800 dpi of resolution for a much smoother and faster acting mouse. Image processing is at 4.76 megapixels per second giving you a smooth accelerating optical mouse, with a larger scanning area measuring even the smallest amount of movement.
The Receiver
The receiver for the MX 700 acts as a receiver and a charger. Logitech includes two AA Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries and an AC adapter that plugs into the receiver. The receiver plugs to your computer by a USB port or a PS/2 port with a supplied adapter.
Charging time the first time was about two hours and in the last two weeks I haven't needed to charge them up again. You do need to charge them when you first get them.
The mouse seems to have a range from 8 to 10 feet from the receiver. (Logitech says 6 feet)
The Mouse
The shape of the MX 700 is ergonomically, giving you a comfortable relaxing easy to use mouse.
There is a white button on the underside of the mouse, this button allows you to change from channel 1 to channel 2. This gives you two separate channels so you can run two MX 700 mice in the same room without any interference with each other.
The mouse can be programmed to specific needs, it has your regular left and right buttons by just pressing on the left and right topsides of the mouse. In the center you have your scroll wheel, a cruse up button, a cruse down button and a quick switch button. To the left of the mouse where your thumb rests they have added two button that are great to use for the Internet as Forward and Back buttons.
System Requirements
For the Macintosh OS 8.6 or better, a USB port and CD-ROM drive.
For the PC Windows 95 and up, a USB port or PS/2 port and a CD-ROM drive

Overall
I love it! It is fast, smooth and no batteries to buy! Charge up time is about two hours and the batteries lasts for weeks before they need recharging again.
I am using the mouse through the USB connection and it seems to work rather well.
When I first installed it, Windows ME picked it up and it worked pretty good, I just couldn't customize it the way I wanted so I installed the software and drivers. The MX 700 runs even better once the software was installed.
The MX 700 has a better performance than my other Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse even though it is also an 800 dpi optical mouse.
I love the two buttons on the side for forwards and back on the Internet pages.
Installation is easy and the mouse performance is excellent! I highly recommend the Logitech MX 700 Optical Mouse for Gamers and everyday use.
Retail price is $79.95, Check out Epinions Compare Prices and find it for as low as $58.
