The Pronto will save your system!
The Philips Pronto is a $400 retail, ~$300 mail-order programmable remote control. It ships with a PC software package and a serial interface, so design work can be done with a mouse and keyboard and downloaded. It offers 7 physical buttons and a touch-screen LCD that allow "panels" to be designed... Read full review »
Save your marriage with a Pronto!
I travel a lot and we have a pretty complex home-theater/stereo system, and with a total of 8 remote controls the system was quite complex to use. I would often receive desperate phone calls from home: "the TV is just snow" or "I can hear the sound, but the screen is blank" or "the TV is on but the... Read full review »
The Ultimate Remote
Ok, it's not cheap, but it is awesome. I have had this remote for less than a week, and it has already become an essential part of my system. It is easy to use, simple to program and covers EVERY device (that uses a standard infrared remote control) in my audio/video setup. It uses AA batteries, or... Read full review »
A programmable remote of the gods
Philips Pronto is a touchscreen remote which looks and feels like a thick and heavier Palm device. This aftermarket remote control is simply the best remote out there for removing remote control clutter. No longer will you have to have eight different remote controls on your coffee table. I can... Well Worth The Money (Still!)
The Philips Pronto is definitely money well spent if you have over four components in your home theatre. I thought for sure that my wife would despise it because of its sheer geeky-ness. Happily I misjudged this remotes abilities to impress all those who handle it.
The key to making this...

Throw out all other remotes!
Until I bought the Pronto, my coffee table in the entertainment room had 6 or 7 remotes lying around. To switch from local HD to the VCR, press this first, then 2 flips of that switch (if it is on, otherwise, turn it on, then ...) You'd need an advanced degree in electrical engineering to use it .... The only remote you'll need - once you've got it setup.
Once programmed for your system the Pronto TSU2000 is the best thing since sliced bread to consolidate all your remotes and automate your entertainment system. To watch a DVD you press the DVD logo on the "home" page and the Pronto does the rest. It will turn on the TV, the DVD player and the... Read full review »
Great Technology and Real Convenient
Well check this out. Phillips' new PRONTO remote control is what remote fanatics, couch potatoes, and just anyone that likes all this high tech stuff has been waiting for. Just about every house has too many remote controls sitting on the table. The industry has responded with universal remotes... Read full review »
The Only Remote You'll Need
This review is based on my experience using the Pronto (TSU-2000 with 2MB memory). At first glance, the Pronto may look like a very thick Palm-based device because of its LCD touch screen. In many ways, the Pronto seems more like a computer than a remote. What differentiate this Pronto from the... Read full review »
Want only one remote on your coffee table?
I have a fairly standard Home Theater system (HDTV, DVD, Receiver, VCR, Tivo), but that still left me with as many as 6 remotes on the coffee table when you factor in the cable box that I hook up for PPV's. I've tried a few of the inexpensive options, but finally decided to take the plunge on the... Read full review »
