I've had this camera for about two years and I am very pleased with it. I only paid around $280 for the whole kit, which was a great value. The choice was between a Canon S3 and the Pentax, and I went for this K100D and still haven't regretted it.

My husband is a photographer and we usually use our DSLR (A nikon) but when it comes to point and shoots and having a small camera with to capture the kids at their cute/ silly/ fun moments the canon powershot a490 is where it's at. This (for the price) is the best point and shoot out there.
