My son has upgraded from this but we decided to keep it around the house & it still works as good as day 1. I think it would be more for younger kids (10 & under) due to the games that are available.

I like the configuration of this Game Boy the best out of all of them. Unfortunately, the non-backlit screen is a real downer for me. We'd take these on long car trips and they'd be useless unless you had one of those light accessories and even then they were difficult to see. ...

Handheld gaming has come a long way in the twenty some-odd years since the original Game Boy console was released. The original Game Boy changed the way that we played video games. Long before there were iOS games, Android games, and Nintendo DS and Sony PSP consoles there was the Game Boy.
