The Game Boy platform (which includes the original unit, the Game Boy Pocket, and the Game Boy Color) came to market when most video game consoles had a life expectancy of just a few years. More than a decade later, the system is still going strong. How did the Game Boy successfully compete--and in some cases bury--an onslaught of faster, more powerful handheld and home console systems? Let us count the ways: affordability, a huge library of games that consistently made the most of the hardware's limitations, smart power management that extended battery life, and uncluttered controls. But perhaps it was the system's ultraportable design that allowed devotees to play video games around their schedule, making it the must-have system for kids and adults alike. Less

Learn more about Kinect for Xbox 360. (Flash demo) You propel through space, your helmet rattling, heart pounding and arms flailing. Suddenly, a meteor zooms directly at you, out of the dark abyss. You fling your body to the left with all of your might, landing safely among the stars at the same time you land on your couch. You're in two worlds at once. They've blended together seamlessly. You lift your hand, and a spacecraft roars to life somewhere deep within another galaxy. You brush your foot along your carpet, and a soccer ball flies into the net of a distant field surrounded by screaming fans. Somewhere along the way, the lines between your living room and the exotic, magical, dangerous and far-off worlds of your games have been blurred. The future has arrived, and the Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect is delivering it right into your hands. Lose your remote and take command of games, movies and the Internet with the ultimate controller you. Less

My son has upgraded from this but we decided to keep it around the house & it still works as good as day 1.  I think it would be more for younger kids (10 & under) due to the games that are available. Read full review »

I like the configuration of this Game Boy the best out of all of them.  Unfortunately, the non-backlit screen is a real downer for me.  We'd take these on long car trips and they'd be useless unless you had one of those light accessories and even then they were difficult to see. ... One reason I bought this console; my old xbox had red rings of death. This console I have over a year and there are no errors like before. Good cooling  and heating inside the system. I always keep on playing this console because of the online gaming. Halo and Call of Duty are one of the best... Read full review »
